Bereaved family members of victims of October 7th 2023 and the Iron Swords war are invited to the state remembrance ceremony that will be held:
On Thursday, Tishrei 24 5786, at 14:00, on 16/10/2025
At the monument in memory of hostile actions casualties on Mount Herzl, Jerusalem.
The ceremony is intended for the bereaved families of the martyrs of October 7 and the Iron Swords War.
Participation in the ceremony is conditional on advance online registration.
Please note that registration does not constitute admission to the ceremony.
After confirmation of the reservation, a barcode will be sent that you will be required to present at the entrance to the ceremony complex.
Entrance of invited participants will be allowed from 12:00 to 13:45.
Due to security checks, it is recommended to arrive early.
- Entrance will be proceeded from the main gate (East) to Mount Herzl.
- People carrying a weapon will not be granted entry to t1he site and it will not be possible to deposit the weapon at the entrance.
- Please avoid coming to the ceremony with luggage.
- Private car will not be allowed access to Mount Herzl. It will be possible to reach the area via the light rail (for transportation and parking arrangements, please see further down the page).
- One must come with an identification document. Those holding a disability card shall bring it too.
Please note: the ceremony is prepared according to the guidelines of the Home Front Command.
Transportation to the ceremony
The National Insurance prepares public transportation to the ceremony from several pick-up points across the country.
Registration to a bus is performed using the online registration form of participation to the ceremony.
You can register for transportation until Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 16:00.
- Registration to a bus is subject to registration to attend the ceremony.
- One shall reach the pick-up point 15 minutes before the time of departure.
- In cases where several family members ask to take a bus, one should see to it that a request for transportation is indicated for each of the family members on the online registration form.
Please note: the departure of buses from various pick-up points will be performed according to the guidelines of the Home Front Command.
Parking arrangements
The audience arriving independently will have the option of parking in the following parking lots:
- Light rail parking lot on Mount Herzl
- Haleum Parking Lot
- Binyanei Hauma Parking Lot
Free shuttles will be operated from the Haleum and Binyanei Hauma Parking lots to the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, the shuttles that will return to these parkings will wait at the entrance to Mount Herzl (under the steps of the Civil Gate).
The shuttles will operate until 16:30.
